I photographed Dir En Grey at the Myth this past weekend. They played in near darkness for the whole set but the pictures came out alright all things considered.
4/22/07 - A Local H road trip
I drove to Eau Claire, WI last week to see Local H and they did not dissapoint. The new material is fantastic and the band was in good spirits. My shots came out really well and are online now.
12/10/06 - She Wants Revenge and Circa Survive
It took me forever to get my pics from the She Wants Revenge show online, I guess I've just been busy. Pictures from the 11-12-06 Circa Survive show are also up now.

11/14/06 - Rise Against
I saw Rise Against for the first time on 11/12 at the Myth and I was quite impressed with the energy they played with. Additionally, I was on fire that night as far as photography goes - so enjoy these and get excited for the shots of Thursday which I'll put up soon.
11/3/06 - Nothing sounds as good as melted Casio keys
I shot the Blood Brothers on 11/1/06 at Station 4; the lighting was poor at the venue - so I experimented with some new techniques. Enjoy.

7/28/06 - Stunned in Amazement
Local H came to Minneapolis for the first time in 06' on Thursday and they were nothing short of amazing. The band entered the studio last week to start work on a new record
and from the tracks that I've heard so far - it's going to be great. The pictures are now online.
7/5/06 - Vans Warped Tour 2006
All of my pictures from this year's Warped Tour are now online. Bands photographed include: Thursday, NOFX, Helmet, Saves The Day, Senses Fail, and Motion City Soundtrack. Additionally, there
are some candid photos of Cartel, Paramore, and Hellogoodbye in Warped Misc. folder.
5/29/06 - Portugal. The Man
Portugal. The Man came to Minneapolis yesterday and my pictures of the performance are now up. The show was amazing and their new CD "Waiter: You Vultures" is one of my favorite CDs of 2006 so far. If you missed them on this tour, don't worry - they will be back on the road with Circa Survive in July and August.

3/21/06 - Server Problems
The company who hosts this site has been having server problems for the past few weeks and I am currently working with them on a solution.
Once this problem is fixed, I will update my portfolio and add new pictures that I took at the Taste of Chaos tour.
2/20/06 - The Undertow Orchestra
I shot The Undertow Orchestra last night at the First Avenue Club in Minneapolis - the images are over in the photos section. If you haven't heard of the band before, it is a collaboration of
Undertow artists on tour together. You can read about it here.
2/16/06 - A Wilhelm Scream
I know it's been a long time since an update, but no one comes through the frozen tundra that is Minnesota in the winter. A Wilhelm Scream braved the cold

August was a really slow month in Minnesota show-wise , so I redid all of my pictures from the Taste of Chaos and added some new ones in. The bands

7/31/05 - Local H Pictures and New Album
The Local H photos that I took back in April have been touched up in photoshop and are now online. Their first live album, "Alive '05", hits the streets 9/13/05 and includes
18 live tracks along with a studio recording of Britney Spears' "Toxic".
7/25/05 - Dinosaur Jr. Photos
I was lucky enough to photograph Dinosaur Jr.'s reunion tour at the Quest Club on the 23rd of July - the pictures are now up in the photos section.
This is the first time the original line up has toured together in 16 years, so be sure to catch them if they come to your town.
7/24/05 - Warped Tour 2k5
I went to the Warped Tour today in Minneapolis and endured the heat to see quite a few great performances from bands like Thrice, A Wilhelm Scream, Fall Out Boy, The Bled, and more. Though I didn't get a photopass, I was able to interview Thrice and do
camera-work during interviews with Fall Out Boy and The Bled. These interviews should be up at FindTheScene soon.
7/22/05 - "Vheissu" Release Date Pushed Back.
Thrice's new record, "Vheissu", will be released on 10/18/05 instead of 9/27/05.
They will be playing in Minneapolis on 10/19 at the Quest Club with The Bled - I can't wait.
7/8/05 - Q and Not U is Breaking up.
"After seven years, hundreds of shows, thousands of miles, 46 states, four continents, three albums, only one flat-tire and countless nicknames for Shawn Brackbill, Q and Not U is disbanding.
With all of your support, we feel that we've reached all of our shared goals as Q and Not U and we're ready to move on to other projects in life. We all hope to play music together again someday, but we feel that it's a beautiful and natural time to bring this band to a close..."

6/2/05 - Hot Hot Heat Photos now up.
I took pictures at the Hot Hot Heat show last night, and for the first time there wasn't a designated area in front of the stage for me to shoot from. This forced me to get creative with my shots and what resulted is some of my best work to date. Be sure to check out their new album "Elevator", it's my favorite album of 2005 so far.
