ShatterTheLens.com is a medium for me, Matt Birhanzel, to share my passion with the world - music. As a photographer, I strive to
capture the energy and emotions of musicians, whether it be in a small bar in front of ten people, or in a stadium playing to thousands.
With each shoot, I can see my work improving.
This whole idea started off simple enough; I brought a disposable camera with me to every show that I went to and made my way to the front to get the best shots.
In the winter of 2004, I bought my first digital camera (a Canon A70). I joined
FindTheScene.com
that spring as a photographer and was given the opportunity to get up close to photograph the bands that I love.
Since then, concert photography has become an obsession for me, and in February of 2005 I invested in a digital SLR - a Nikon D70. Below is a complete list of my current equipment:
Nikon D70
Nikkor 50mm F/1.4
Nikkor 18-70mm F/3.5-4.5
Nikkor 24-120mm F/3.5-5.6 VR
